3DEA AI Studio3D model from a photo
From one photo or a description to a 3D model. Upload a photo of the object or describe what you need, look the model over and, if it suits you, order the print.
Your photo is sent to our 3D generation partner to build the model. We do not keep it.
Tips for a good photo
- Use a plain background and avoid reflections.
- Keep the object in the centre and fill about two thirds of the frame.
- Photograph in good, even daylight.
Upload a photo of an object and you get a 3D model you can turn and view in augmented reality (AR). If it suits you, order the print: we print it in our workshop and send it to you.

How 3DEA AI Studio works
- Sign in. Generating is free for signed-in users, within a daily limit.
- Choose “From a photo” or “Describe it”.
- Upload a photo of the object or write what you need. The photo can be a PNG, JPG or WebP up to 10 MB; drag it in, browse for it or paste it with Ctrl+V. The description should say what the object is, its shape and where the holes or slots are. One object at a time.
- Click “Generate a 3D model” and wait for the job to finish.
- Turn the model, look at it from every side and open the AR view if your phone supports it.
- If it suits you, open “Order a print”, choose the material, the colour and the height, and add the model to the cart. The price is worked out before the cart. We print it in our workshop and send it to you.
How to take a photo for a good 3D model
The photo carries most of what the model knows about the shape, so it is worth taking care before you shoot.
- Use a plain background and avoid reflections.
- Keep the object in the centre and fill about two thirds of the frame.
- Photograph in good, even daylight.
What you can make
Objects with a simple shape work well: brackets, holders, dividers and plates with holes.
The page offers three example descriptions: a corner bracket with two screw holes on each side, a cable clip for a 20 mm pipe and a small drawer divider with three compartments.
The empty view above shows an example of a finished model: a router template plate with a guide and two plugs.
If the object has many small details, lettering or moving parts, the model may simplify or distort it.
From a 3D model to a print
When the model is ready, open “Order a print”. You choose the material, the colour and a height from 2 to 25 cm, and the price is worked out before the model goes into the cart.
If the model needs a manual check, send it to us through the contact form.
What AI cannot do
When a model comes from a single photo, the back of the object is an estimate, not a scan. Whatever the photo did not show, the model makes up.
So check the shape and the dimensions before printing. Tolerances, threads and thin lettering are risky. For a part that has to fit exactly, measure the real object.
AI suggests the shape; the measuring and the checking are still yours.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make a 3D model from a photo?
Open AI Studio, sign in and choose “From a photo”. Upload a photo of the object, start the generation and wait for the model to be ready. Then you can turn it, view it in AR or order a print.
Is generating free?
Yes, for signed-in users, within a daily limit. Printing is paid separately.
Which photos give a good model?
Ones with a plain background, no reflections, the object in the centre and even daylight. If you can, add photos of the sides too.
Which formats and what size of photo can I upload?
PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 10 MB.
Is the model accurate?
As accurate as the photo and your own check. The back of a model made from a photo is an estimate, so for parts that have to fit, measure the real object, not the model.
What is a 3D model and what is it for?
A 3D model is a digital record of an object's shape with height, width and depth. You can turn it on the screen, view it in AR and send it to print.
What happens to my photo?
The photo is sent to our 3D generation partner to build the model and is not kept.
How do I order a print?
When the model is ready, open “Order a print”, choose the material, the colour and the height, and add the model to the cart. If the model needs a manual check, send it to us through the contact form.
